Of course every wedding is filled with special moments. But here at Momo's Flowers and More we get to see a few that may not show up on the wedding video. I'm talking about those lovely moments when a couple comes by the shop and shares with us their vision for their special day. This is before the mountain of details that come with planning a wedding have overwhelmed them. Before the caterers and the venue organizers and the in laws and everyone else has made their demands. This is just a pleasant meeting with us, the selected florist to talk about flowers. It is in these moments that the couple is at ease, giddy with the realization that these floral choices are actually the first in a lifetime of shared decisions. There's a lot of giggling, laughter and collaboration that goes into these choices and we at Momo's try to ask all the right questions, delighted to have a window into our customers future life together.
Another moment that we may not see in the shop but sometimes are party to when we help with the set up on the big day might also go unnoticed: The moment the boutinierre or corsage is pinned on. A daughter in law affixing a little flower onto their future father in laws lapel is an intimate moment. A son in law helping his future mother in law with one of Momo's gorgeous wrist corsages may be a subtle landmark in the beginning of a new family.
There are many moments that make up the wedding experience and not all of them are the moment they say "I do." and we here at Momo's Flowers and More are honored to be part of them.
