Here at Momo's Flowers and More we have been getting more and more wedding orders and we couldn't be happier. There is something about conferring with a bride (Or Mother of the bride or best friend of the bride) that inspires us here at Momo's. Every ceremony is unique and every bride comes with her (or his) unique needs. It's delightful to be part of realizing a bride's vision of that special day and we have had some special ones. Everything from a rainbow selection of bouquets- each a different color for each bridesmaid- to the incorporation of cotton into the bridal bouquet to commemorate the groom's family connection to cotton production. There have been some large orders- 20 centerpieces and a chuppa- but some of the most touching have been small orders- a small wedding bouquet for a last minute civil ceremony at the courthouse or a little flower crown for a little flower girl.
Many times we have to remind the couple planning the wedding about boutonnieres. Flowers are more than just plant blossoms. They are moments. Of course boutonnières look wonderful in wedding pictures and denote the wedding party in a wonderful way. But there is the opportunity for something more. A moment. A connection. That moment that the bride helps her father pin on the boutonniere as the first strains of "Here Come the Bride" plays in the background might be that indelible moment that you'll always remember.
So don't forget the boutonnieres!
