Everyone loves the flowers they receive from Momo's Flowers and More but today we wanted to give you a little glimpse "behind the scenes" at the place voted Best Flower Shop in our city. After almost three years, literally thousands of flower bouquets and arrangements, gales of laughter, daily smiles and even a few tears, Momo's Flowers and More celebrated with a little party last week. We felt a little appreciation was due as well as a celebration of the little flower shop in Albany that continues to be "an oasis of joy" for so many customers that have become not only our regulars but our friends. Of course we went to Iyasare on 4th street in Berkeley. We do weekly flowers for them and the owner Sho san and his lovely wife Monica are among those who are not only our favorite customers but have become dear friends. There were toasts, sparkling sake, a lovely outdoor setting and boy oh boy were we treated to a feast!

And the "More" of Momo's Flowers and More now includes 2 new team members! First is our stalwart delivery person Peter, who, with a quiet charm and unflagging and conscientious determination, has become such an integral part of our little band, garnering rave reviews from our customers for his thoughtful ways, suiting his demeanor to every delivery no matter what the occasion, finding just the right way to present Momo's flowers in their variety, from baby shower to sympathy remembrance. Always checking with both the sender and receiver, then texting us the details, Peter exemplifies the level of service we offer.
And the latest addition to the team is Shirley, who's bright smile and effervescent spirit has filled the little shop with cheer every Tuesday and Thursday when she promptly arrives on those early mornings to help with everything from updating our cash register to processing the flowers fresh from the farm or market. Momo and Ron both feel her sweetness and intelligence combine to make things run that much smoother at the shop. Shirley's presence has given us back a few precious hours at the end of the day that would otherwise be taken up with all the behind the scenes necessities that go in to running Albany's number one flower shop, Momo's Flowers and More!
Thank you Peter and Shirley. We love you!
