Now that the madness that is Valentine's Day is over Momo's Flowers and More has gone back to the little "oasis of Joy" here on Ramona Street.
While Valentine's Day is a team effort- and what a team we had, with four drivers over fifty frantically delivering redolent, blooming cargo to every corner of the city while Momo and her team- The invaluable Yoko san one step ahead of everybody keeping order in the chaos while The amazing Hye-Min fielded every call and request with charm, care and probably most essential on Valentine's Day: speed. And at the center of it all was Momo, clippers flashing as she made countless gorgeous and distinct bouquets while maintaining her signature command of all things floral. What a day!
So here post Valentine's Day, things have returned to normal here at Momo's Flowers and More. It's the calm after the storm. It's the constant parade of happy humans popping by to share a story, lend an ear and perhaps pick up some flowers or a little gift for themselves or someone equally special. And it is not just humans who make Momo's a stop on their daily perambulations. An incredible array of furry four legged friends have been made by Momo over the last 14 months. Celebrity dogs like "Dougy" the has thousands of followers on instagram to the irrepressible "Mookie" who expresses himself upon seeing Momo in a gyrating dance of pure joy. Perhaps it's the treats that Momo selects- some imported from Canada w/ genuine Maple flavor we are told- or perhaps it is Momo's own joy, having never owned a dog herself, that inspires such animal loyalty to the shop. On a recent Saturday Momo was greeted by a new friend: "Momo". And we think it's only a matter of time before we see her again!
