We did it! We survived our first Valentine's Day!
Yes, there were lots of orders. Yes, each one included special instructions and important messages. Yes, there was a lot of pressure on us. After all, most of the people sending flowers (or coming in to the shop to pick up) were doing so for very personal reasons. We had everything from hopeful suitors sending flowers for the first time to the person of their dreams to fifty year confirmations of a timeless love between long term partners. We delivered everywhere from hidden Berkeley bungalows to high rise apartments in San Francisco. From Oakland suburbs to El Cerrito mansions. Love was in the air and every customer had plenty riding on the prompt and beautiful arrival of flowers (and succulents) to their special someones.
Momo and Ron could never have handled it on their own. But luckily Momo's Flowers and More has some great friends and they set aside their own busy schedules for a day and became the "Flower Angels" delivering bouquets all over the Bay Area.
The delivery team included a cabaret singer, a martial arts sensei and a retired post man. Meanwhile Momo tirelessly made the many expressions of undying love one after another. The Flower Angels swooped in and grabbed the paperwork and arrangements and criss crossed the Bay Area. By the end of the day, exhausted, we had designed, created, and delivered over 50 expressions of true love. We think up in heaven, or where ever it is saints live, St. Valentine is smiling down on Momo and the Flower Angels!
