Whew!
We made it through Valentine's Day! For most florists Valentine's Day is Christmas, Hannakuh, New Years Day and Thanksgiving all rolled in to one. Along with Mother's Day, the other big flower related holiday, V Day can be the most challenging day of the year. It's no different at Momo's Flowers and More. The flowers and Momo's arrangements are always exquisite and many are true works of art but the challenge of Valentine's Day is twofold; firstly the sheer volume. Momo hands and clippers are a whirlwind during Valentine's Day weekend just to complete all the orders. But it being Valentine's Day the flowers have a special purpose: They are the messengers of LOVE. And based on many of the messages people write to include with the flowers, sometimes a lot can be riding on just that one special bouquet. It can be a lot of pressure. of course there are also flowers being ordered out of a sense of duty or responsiblity. And those must be created and delivered just as punctually as the more heartfelt. But this year Momo was ably assisted by our new friends Mimu and Gabby and Francesca. Plus our stalwart delivery team of our dear friend Mari, the quietly dignified Peter and even our neighbor Manuel, who delivered purely out of the kindness of his heart.

But when the dust settled and the last order was completed, the last arrangement picked up, the last delivery made, we looked forward to going back to the normal day to day business of bringing little happinesses into people's homes, and appreciating our customers who know, as we do. that every day, be it Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall, can be Valentine's Day
