Recently someone asked us "Is Momo's Flowers and More a mom and pop operation?" We had to think about it for a moment. And we realized yes, it is a mom and pop operation. Momo is the "mom". She loves flowers like they were her children. Ron is the "pop". He loves flowers too. But he also enjoys a nice glass of wine or beer now and then. (His brand is Asahi Super Dry.)
So it was a special treat for both of us to create the floral designs for a recent wedding at a brewery in Point Richmond. Rigger's Loft Wine Company. The bride was lovely and even painted the geometric structures an elegant rose gold herself. And they were the perfect accent for the florals we created to turn this industrial space into a whimsical and robust wedding venue.
The bride ordered special flowers for her hair. Momo incorporated wild berries into the boutonnieres. Centerpieces were made for rustic mason jars. Along with the barrels of wine were our garlands of eucalyptus and thistle and the air was redolent with both the flowers and the fermenting grapes!
With a beautiful view of the San Francisco Bay on one side and the whitewashed concrete serving as the perfect backdrop for Momo's exquisite designs, this was a marriage made in heaven. A heaven of flowers and wine!. And love! And for this Mom and Pop shop, there ain't nothing better.
